Graduated as a master in East-European Languages & Cultures (UGENT 1990 – 1995). After obtaining his degree, Cor worked for 8 years as a HR Consultant & headhunter, of which 5 years with Deloitte Human Capital Division. After this experience, he decided to switch careers to develop his experience in heritage. This choice was inspired by his - until then - private archive research regarding various aspects of musical culture. Over the years, he gradually narrowed his research focus and specialised in dance history. From 2012 he also worked on a PhD. in his spare time, which he defended in 2020. Since then, he continued his research as an independent researcher. He still publishes regularly, prepares a book based on his PhD. and participates in international conferences regularly.
