I am guest professor Gender Studies at the Centre for Research on Gender and Culture, where I teach the courses “Gender & Diversity” in the Linking Course Master of Arts in Gender and Diversity. Next, I’m senior expert & scientific staff member at the University Hospital of Ghent, where I coordinate the central information and expertise center on trans issues in Belgium (www.transinfo.be).

I hold a MA in Clinical Psychology (UGent, 1999), a postgraduate in Women’s studies (UAntwerp, 2002), and a PhD in Social Sciences (UAntwerp, 2010).

I am one of the co-founders of the European Professional Association for Transgender Health (EPATH), and currently President of this association.

Since2020, I teach the course “Gender & Diversiteit” in the Linking Course Master of Arts in Gender and Diversity. and help out with the internships in the Master of Arts in Gender and Diversity.

Before 2020 I was involved as co-teacher in the course "Gender & Intersectionality" with prof Chia Longman.
